1. Battleship North Carolina (BB-55) Teak with Nickel Accents #251 ($875)

I borrowed a little slab of deck material (teak) from a gift purchased at the gift shop of the Battleship North Carolina. My wife and I toured the Battleship North Carolina in third grade. I paired it with a super fine blade. From the Bulldog line of Norris Knives. Superb bevel. Smooth and shiny. Just about perfect geometry. I love this knife. Own a piece of history.

4. Ironwood and Custom TruStone Inlay #254 ($425)
OAL 7.75", 3.0" blade, AEBL Stainless Steel, Aqua Liners, Natural Micarta pins.
This could be your fancy go out to dinner knife. Slip it into your best blazer inside pocket and when the meal is served, use it to cut your 100% Kansas City Aged Beef steak. Heck, use it to spread butter on your dinner rolls. I would use it to cut up my salad if it needed it. From the Darling line of Norris Knives.

5. Midnight Blue Richlite and Brilliant Orange G10 Inlay #255 ($325)
OAL 7.75", 3.0" blade, AEBL Stainless Steel, Orange liner and Black pins.
The handle was inspired by an article I read. It was showcasing a knife a maker made for his 4 year old daughter. If I remember correctly it matched another toy in the color scheme. And it was made with a dull, non-leathal G10 blade. It just looked so right to me. If you haven't noticed, orange is just about my favorite color. And the Richlite material just feels good in the hand.

6. Self Surgery Scalpel with Fancy multi-layer multicolor handle #256 ($275)
OAL 7.5", 2.5" blade, AEBL Stainless Steel, G10 liner and Blue pins, Brass accents.
I am NOT against some necessary self-surgery. Done quite a bit on myself. Little unwelcome mole on the eyelid?....been there for years. Cut it off. Toenail come down with the "fungus"? Get the Dremel! Skin tag? Boxcutter. Tooth needs pullin'? Screwdriver, hammer and boxcutter. I could go on..... but I'll stop there. You probably shouldn't take medical advice from the internet. Maker's mark is present on other side. I just didn't show it well.

8. Barry the Hatchet in Olive Drab UltreX and my favorite inlay #258 ($625)
OAL 11.0", 4.25" blade, Augmented patina AEBL Stainless Steel, Black G10 liners with Desert Tan pins. Brass lanyard tube. Plus custom blade cover made locally by Coastal Hillbilly.
I know I'm guilty of hyperbole on occasion but this could be the ultimate hiking and camping companion...depending on what you are expecting. :). I digress. The design for this hatchet (for lack of a better description) has been run through its paces and has shown me what it can do and it can do a lot. It did. And does. And will keep doing. If I could take one tool with me to Big Rock Candy Mountain, this is it. Those folks wouldn't stand a chance. .....Now where's that stream of alcohol at?

9. Barry the Hatchet in Heart Pine from Wilmington's Bellamy Mansion #259 ($950)
OAL 11.0", 4.25" blade, Augmented patina AEBL Stainless Steel, Ultem pins, copper lanyard tube, Pine Green and White liner.
You know, you never know what you are going to find when you don't go looking for it... I came across a dude, a trustworthy dude mind you, who gave me this piece of material salvaged from repair tear out at The Bellamy Mansion right here in Wilmington, NC. I was hoping I could use it for a knife but wasn't so sure it was fit. But it was. And here it is. Heart pine is beautiful. It screams history and North Carolina. Just look at it!
